In 2020, Big People Music and sister company Big People Community CIC established ‘See My World’ a series of multicultural, multi-lingual, intergenerational inclusive events, reflecting the aspirations of Manchester’s PanAfrican community and that of the region.

This festival of PanAfrican themed events and activities in Manchester were an effort to inspire the creation of a movement to promote and encourage self-determination and self-realisation of the UK’s African and Caribbean diaspora.

Featuring Artists, scholars and exhibits from the likes of WSTRN, JULS, AKALA, DREYA MAC, MISHA B and more, the festival involves the education, promotion and flaunt of PanAfrican Arts, Culture and Being.

Incorporating debates, forums, seminars, exhibitions with the aim to enlighten and develop the establishment of emerging and established cultural practices of the African and Caribbean diaspora of the world.

The festival launched in October 2020 as a way to commemorate the PanAfrican Congress held in Manchester in 1945 and we were honoured to be consultants and executive directors of this life changing event.
